Mayville Academy is a Rights Respecting School, working towards our UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award – Level 1.

The award is based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which sets out the rights that every child should have.

At Mayville, we place children's rights at the heart of our school culture and ethos. We believe that every child should feel safe, valued, respected and supported to achieve their full potential.

We encourage our pupils to understand their rights, respect the rights of others and take responsibility for their actions. Through this approach, we aim to develop confident, caring and responsible young people who understand their role as citizens in our local community and the wider world.

Everyone at Mayville plays a part in promoting and respecting children's rights.
