Online Safety
At Mayville Academy, we believe that working closely with families and our wider community is essential to keeping our pupils safe online. By working together, we can help children develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills they need to use the internet safely and responsibly.
We aim to ensure that the online safety messages children receive at home and at school are consistent. Through our whole-school approach, we teach online safety across the curriculum, helping pupils make informed choices and understand how to protect themselves online.
At Mayville Academy, we have:
-
A trained workforce who are confident in promoting online safety, identifying concerns and responding appropriately.
-
Resources and activities to help children develop the skills they need to stay safe online.
-
Information, resources and advice to support parents and carers in keeping their children safe online.
-
Robust online safety policies and procedures, supported by appropriate IT systems and regular reviews of our online safety provision.
We recognise that online safety is a shared responsibility, and we look forward to continuing to work in partnership with our families, Trustees to keep our children safe, both in school and beyond.
