Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)
• Making relationships
• Self-confidence and self-awareness
• Managing feelings and behaviour
This area of learning is about emotional well-being,knowing who you are and where you fit in, and feeling good about yourself. It is also about developing independence, respect for others, social competence and a positive disposition to learn.
How you can help:
Develop confidence and relationships by taking your child to places where they can socialise with others in a range of situations, e.g. at the park, football team, playgroup, library.
Encourage and help your child to share, take turns and listen to others to find a resolution to conflicts. Talk about feelings and the consequences of actions and words.
